#KetemuDiKulkas
#KetemuDiKulkas
Brief, In Indonesia, living with parents or in-laws after marriage is a common practice rooted in strong family values and respect. In fact, over 60% of women admit to having an unhealthy relationship with their mother-in-law, which significantly affects their happiness in marriage. Unfortunately, solutions like living separately are still seen as taboo or socially irresponsible. This tension creates emotional distance in multigenerational households, where love often coexists with unspoken frustrations. The challenge: how can we encourage healthier communication without confronting deeply ingrained cultural norms?
Idea, We create “#KetemuDiKulkas” / “Meet at the Fridge”, a “Speak Without Speaking” movement that redefines communication in multigenerational homes through gentle, asynchronous emotional expression. In a house full of voices, sometimes the quietest words from a small corner of the home are the ones that hold us together. We believe that emotional safety starts with small, consistent gestures, and even a few kind words on a sticky note can make home feel more like a sanctuary than a battlefield.
